MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND

We went to Richfield for Mother's Day to of course spend time with our AMAZING MOMS! We had a great time with both families, the usual going back and forth to both houses... So fun! I'm actually still deciding if it's easier that our families live in the same town or not. Don't get me wrong I LOVE that we get to see both families every time we go, but it's just hard to leave each house everytime and I'm always worried about spending too much time at one house over the other. I don't want to make anyone feel bad, ya know?! Then I feel like we miss out on a lot with each family because we're not "completely there" like everyone else...I don't know if it makes any sense, but you know what I mean?!! It was really nice to be home though. I didn't really think about it when Mother's Day came, but then I actually got my first Mother's Day gift!! :) I know I'm such a great mom and all already...I just have the BEST baby, she's the easiest child to take care of! :) ha Gees after this weekend, I just can't wait to hold my sweet little girl. I held my sis-in-law Amanda's new baby boy (so handsome!) and played with Cami's cute twins and I'm even more excited to meet her and just hold her ALL day! Anyways...My cute husband gave me these way cute gold (to match our theme) crown hooks to put on the wall in our nursery, which I absolutely LOVE! Lately every thing I get is for the baby and her room, it's so great what could be better right! I'll post pics of the nursery when it gets closer, it's looking so cute :) Then my cute sisters JaKelle and Chelsi gave all of us the cutest aprons. Here's a picture of all of us cute girls wearing them...

They say, "Nobody Cooks like MOM"

Thanks Jak and Chels, you're the best!

I'm so blessed to have such great motherly examples in my life. I have a mother who supports me in EVERYTHING I do and who loves her kids more than life itself, a mother-in-law who is the greatest example of service and LOVE, a sister who is SUPER MOM and is the most patient person I know, and of course the greatest, most talented sister-in-laws I've ever known.
I'm surrounded by GREAT mothers and I love you all! THANKS for all YOU do

It's about TIME!

I know I'm lost past due for an update so finally here it is!
We celebrated our 1st Year Anniversary on APRIL 29th which was fun! Who would've thought I'd almost be 7 months pregnant on our first year anniversary...NOT ME that's for sure! ha But I definitely could not be happier, I'm so excited and it's coming so fast! Which is a good thing right, it's just so crazy! I really do feel that it's gone quite fast, most say that it goes slow but luckily so far it's gone pretty quick I think. (Watch the next 2 months will be the slowest months of all!:) ) We've been getting the nursery ready, which has been so much fun! GIRLS ARE SO FUN! Jesi, Jake's amazingly, talented, gorgeous designer sister :) has helped us pick out the paint colors and design the bedroom so it's been really great and I can't wait til it's all done. I'll for sure be posting pictures as soon as it get's further along.
Well...Jake and I are both taking Spring semester! yes, I'm back in school...it was such a nice break last semester to not have to study! I loved it! I'm only taking one class, Art History 202 so I'm hoping it won't be too bad. My professor seems pretty nice and classes are usually a little more laid back during the summer so I'll keep my fingers crossed. It'll be fun, besides the subject he's teaching! ha It's actually kinda interesting...I'm just not a big fan of History so it's hard for me to study, but it's only spring semester so I need to just stay dedicated and stick it out.
Jake's still working for an Optometrist, which he really enjoys. It's been a great opportunity for him to gain this experience for his future occupation (we hope, he needs to get accepted into grad school first :) I'm really excited, we have a lot of school ahead of us it'll be so great! I'm still at the good ole' Happy Sumo serving away :) We'll see how much longer I'll last with this prego belly of mine! I'm almost 31 weeks now, but I think I can handle it at least til I'm 36 weeks or so. I'm just playing it by ear, luckily my managers are awesome and they just told me to work till I feel like I can't anymore and then they'll give me as much time off as I need. Who could ask for a better job right?! (well it is serving tables...)
Oh and about posting pics of my belly...I'll see if I get BRAVE enough!! I don't know why but I just feel a little funny putting pics of my fat body on the internet! ha So give me some time!! :) That pretty much sums up what we've been doing lately...I'll try and get better at this blogging thing! Hope everyone's doing great Love ya!

Jon Schmidt arrangment...WOW!

"LOVE STORY meets VIVA LA VIDA" I just saw this on my friend's blog and it's amazing! Jon Schmidt is such a talented composer and I loved this! (I used to play the piano and loved playing his songs...sadly I don't have a piano so someday I'll get back into it) I just had to share it, ENJOY! (it's kinda long, but wow it's good!)

I thought it worked better if you just click on this link then putting the video on my blog.

IT'S A.......GIRL!!!

I seriously felt like a little girl again waiting for christmas morning...but this was even better! Finally 1:30 came around and we went to our appointment. Luckily we didn't even have to wait after I filled out the paper work and we started as soon as we got in the room. The ultra sound was the most amazing thing...I was just amazed the whole time how well you could see the baby and and all that the doctor was checking. She was so fast and explained everything she saw as she went along. Thank goodness everything is going really well, she's healthy and she looks great! Oh and we actually found that I'm just a little further along (which is always nice!) I'm due July 3, only about 6 days off from before. So I don't think they'll change my due date, but I am for sure! ha After she checked everything she's all, "So are you ready? We're going to look between the legs....and....I don't see any boy parts in there!!" Then she wrote "GIRL!" on the ultra sound! The first thing I was like, "YES, I was RIGHT! ha I felt it was a girl all along, but of course I didn't want to be wrong ;) Now there's an equal amount of girls and boys on both Jake's and my family, so it's perfect! We are so excited, I can't wait to see her!
After we called the Fam, Jake was driving around, then he pulled up into TJ Maxx...ok so I told Jake as soon as we find out the gender I want to atleast go buy one little thing. Well, if any of you know my cute husband...he's CHEAP! ha (There's no nicer way of going around that!) So he of course told me that it wasn't necessary and said we should wait til after I have a baby shower to buy anything...can you believe it, Like ME of all people can wait that long! Luckily I have the best husband and he loves me a lot...we got the cutest little summer outfit! Here's a picture, it doesn't do justice but it's the cutest little thing. Jake hung it up in our front room just on our closet door so when I walk in, it's the first thing I see. I love it, it puts a big smile on my face every time I look at it. :) YAY, girls are so much fun!

18 WEEKS ALONG...

We had our Doctor's appointment today and everything is looking great! I wanted to find out the gender SO BAD! I knew that we weren't going to today, but as we were there...Jake and I couldn't help but want to know! I guess we can wait 2 more weeks to find out, I'm so impatient with these things! Feb. 18th is when we find out so WHAT DO THINK WE'RE GOING TO HAVE?!
BOY? OR GIRL?

(Thanks Cami, your babies came to good use!! ha jk)
I'm feeling much better these days so that's always good. I was worried I was going to be sick the whole 9 months, my mom was pretty sick with me. But luckily so far I'm feeling good! I of course have those "special" days where I feel kinda crummy, but it's a lot better then everyday that's for sure!
I started this semester with taking only one class, but unfortunately I was sick 2 of the first 3 days, so I decided this is pointless and I'm taking the semester off. I'll be honest...I LOVE IT! I feel so stress FREE and it's pretty nice not having to study. I now just study everything on babies, it's so great! Jake says he's never seen me study so much and I'll have to agree on that one! :) It's so amazing to read up and learn everything that's going on inside your body. I learned a lot in my Anatomy class a while ago, but it's so much more interesting when it's actually happening to YOU! I love learning about it, I'm such a NERD ha! It's great to follow what's happening week by week and what the baby is developing each week. IT'S AMAZING!! I was so sad I never got the chance to go to Body Worlds, I heard it was awesome to see it all, and especially the development of the fetus. That would've been really neat to see. I'll just have to rely on all my books I guess. :) As you can see... I finally put the cute prego image on the blog so now I feel I'm up to date! I debated on putting it on because it seems longer when you have a count down for some reason. But I decided what the heck, why not?! Right now I feel like it's going pretty fast, so hopefully it'll keep going!

FUN with the GIRLS

My old roommate, Lisa got home from her mission just before Christmas so all of us got together for lunch at the good ole' Brick Oven. She served in Houston, TX she's so awesome. There's still one girl that's on her mission and I think she gets home around June or something, I can't remember. I roomed with them my freshman and sophomore year, oh YES ya know those great times! :) It was so much fun to see everyone, thanks girls YOU'RE THE BEST!

Here are a few pictures of our fun day with the cute girls! I'm unfortunately not watching Kate and Jane this semester...I know so sad :( I'm SAD! But luckily we were able to watch them the other day and have some fun. They are just the funniest girls, I wish I could remember everything they say and I should've made a book because they are so hilarious! I sure miss them but it's fun to still see them when we get the chance!

We went to BUILD A BEAR, they were so cute! Kate was the best big sister and used her allowance to buy her a bear and also bought Jane's, she's the BEST!

WE HAVE NEWS!!
Yes the rumors are true...WE'RE HAVING A BABY! I guess now it's time for the "floating baby" to be on our blog! ha We're so excited, our due date is July 9th (a very happy grandma because that's my mom's birthday!) We heard the heartbeat on Tuesday, it was the neatest thing I've ever done. It just made it become more REAL, hearing the heartbeat and knowing there's really something in there. When we got home Jake was all, "Kalei, you have something beating inside of you, besides you!" It was so funny :) We can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl, so we'll keep you updated!
Oh quick funny story...At our appointment, our doctor was asking us about our health history and she asked if there was any history of any birth defects in our family. So we both answered "no" and then Jake adds, "Well unless you count twins!" I about died! (sorry, not to offend Cami, Michelle, or Marion!) We all laughed, but then after we left it hit me that probably didn't sound so good, our doctor probably thinks we're such jerks! ha So now if we have twins, I'll blame it on Jake for his comment!

Jake and I went to my Ballroom Company Winter's Eve Ball on Wednesday, it was a lot of fun! We got all dressed up and had a really nice dinner, with lot's of dancing as well. Jake of course loved all the dancing :) I made him dance with me a few times and it was great! ha I think it's the only time I've ever seen Jake uncomfortable and hear him actually say, "I feel dumb!" :) It was hilarious! He's so good to support me in my dancing and I appreciate all he does. It's definitely a sacrifice and I'm grateful for him to make it.

All the Sistas

Unfortunately we had to go back to Provo Thursday night because Jake and I both had to work. We went back to Richfield on Saturday night after we got off work to be there on Sunday when James and Cami blessed both of their precious twins. It was such a special day, I'm so glad we went back to see it. Thanks Cami for all you guys did, the day was perfect!

FUN in Richfield!

We had such a great holiday weekend, full of family, fun, and of course lot's of food. My favorite part would have to be that I didn't even think about school! I probably should have now that I'm back and getting ready for finals :), but it was such a good break. We left Tuesday night to Richfield and stayed with my parents. Wednesday we shopped most of the day, Jake and I still had money at Christensen's and Ace Hardware so of course we took advantage of that! (or should I say...I did ha!) We did get Christmas decorations at Ace YEAH! I was excited about that. Here are some pictures (I'm so proud I took pictures...you know I did it just to update this blog for all the dissatisfied comments I've gotten lately!!)

Just Practicing! :)

We got bored at the Salon...Hey Parker wanted it and he picked out the color!! ha I think James wanted to kill me after he saw it!
