I know...I'm horrible
Sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything new, I knew I wouldn't be very good at this but I'm trying! As I was looking at my blog I realized that most of it is about Kate and Jane ha! It made me laugh, I guess everyone else's is about their kids so I have to write about mine. :) I'll try and write more about what's going on in our lives...as in mine and Jake's. Well, I've just been staying busy with Kate and Jane, working at The Happy Sumo, and getting ready for school to start. Ah the summer just went way too fast for me, I hope soon I'll feel like I'm ready to go back. I'm definitely excited for the Back-up Ballroom Tour Team though, it's something I've been working really hard on this past year. It'll sure keep me busy with that and school! I'm actually teaching an aerobics class at BYU as well, which I'm stoked for! If any of you have any advice or ideas for me PLEASE let me know. We start school on Sept. 2 so I'll keep you updated!

The NEW Favorite Uncle!
Looking stylish with that helmet Kate!! :) Kate and Jane's new favorite thing is cruisin with uncle Jacob on the scooter! They are so cute and they could ride it ALL day. We went swimming today, as you can tell...but it was cut short because it started to thunder so they made everyone get out of the pool. They said they may open again in 30 minutes, but we just left anyways. So we had to go with plan B...well I didn't plan for this..so we just went and got pizza, played at the park, and rode the scooter. Fun filled day!

Our Favorite Place!
We had a great day today. We first went to 7-eleven (ya, not quite my choice!) to pick up some lunch for a picnic at the park! Then we went to a place called, "Color Me Mine." We've been there a couple times before, so that's how good it is! Whom ever created this business is a genius. So this is what you do...You start by choosing a ceramic piece you'd like to paint, which they have a pretty good variety of selection from kitchenware, house decorations, and many random pieces as well. Then the sky is the limit from there! They have all sorts of creative paints, stencils, and all kinds of different ways to create your master piece. After painting it you just leave it there, they fire it up for you so you can just pick it up in a couple of days and take it home with you. If it was Kate's choice we would go there everyday!! Seriously, she asks me everyday if we can go, so finally I gave in and we went again.
As I've said before, Kate's quite creative, so it's fun to see what she comes up with. They both painted Cats this time...they love cats these days! They have 2 cats at home and they spend every minute they can with those cats. So of course they had to paint there own cats! It's great...besides the fact that I have to admit that I HATE CATS! It's really cute how much they love them, but I can't help but just send them out and let them play with them. I'd go at first because they'd want me to look at them and hold and play with them, but I can only do so much. :) ha It's not bad, I just don't like to play with them! So there's our day

YES Jake and I just bought a scooter!! We've been thinking of buying one for a while and Jake found a really good deal online, so we bought it yesterday! Jake's like a little boy, it's hilarious. We went to pick it up in American Fork and the rain started pouring down. Jake of course couldn't wait til the next day, so we waited a little while at the people's house and he drove it back to Provo. I drove behind him...I couldn't help but just laugh. ha I could tell he was freezing (I know, sad...but it was quite funny) cause it was still coming down a little. Jake's planning on riding it to work and school so we can save some gas money. If you know Jake though...we'll see how long he lasts when it rains and snows. ha Jake is one happy boy, so it's a lot of fun!
Creative Play-Dough Day
Today we played with play-dough and WOW was I impressed with little Kate! She is one creative girl, she truly get's it from her mother. Jane and I made some too as you can see on the left, but I am far from creative! It's kinda sad that a 7 year old did better than me, but I can live with that because I love her.
Craft Project
Crafts!
I'm updating the blog so here are some pictures of some of the craft projects we've done so far.
The first picture is when we had to run to BYU Wilkinson Center to get something and they have this room where they do service projects. I used to walk by it like everyday, but I had never gone in...I know I'm horrible! Kate saw in the window some puppets and asked if we could make them. So we just went in and the lady was nice enough to let us make some puppets for the less fortunate children. Kinda funny actually...but it was really fun for them. Kate's very creative as you can see.
Of course after this we had to go home and make our own and put on a PUPPET SHOW!
Life with KATE and JANE
So I would have to say I have the best job in the world! Jake's sister, Jessica and her husband moved to Provo to open up a new furniture store. They're so busy with remodeling the building, ordering furniture, and everything else, they asked me to watch their two little girls during the day. Kate is seven and Jane is three. Of course Jane rules everything, she is the sweetest girl, but I would not want to be on her bad side :) She's got some ATTITUDE! They can be quite a handful at times, but I can't complain because we just play all day. It's easy to babysit kids you already love so much. I try and think of things to do to keep them entertained so we've had some fun times. Kate is very creative and loves to do crafts so we try to do as many as we can. We also got a season pass to 7-Peaks so we have a blast there. The first time was really scary though, trying to keep track of 2 girls..in water..with hundreds of people around. But we love the water! I'll be posting pictures, don't worry so everyone can see how lucky I am.
Our Honeymoon Cruise!
We had such a blast on our cruise. We left May 4th with a red eye flight...ya let me just say it was so great! :) I would have to say that was the hardest part of the whole trip, but we made it there and it was fine. Right when we got on the ship we went to our room and fell asleep for like 4 hours. We woke up around 8 o'clock, it was so funny. So we went and found some food and walked around the ship...oh my gosh the ship was amazing!! We found out that that it's the largest ship in the world, it had everything you could possibly think of. The surfing simulator was the most fun, we surfed and body boarded it was a blast. There was mini golf, a climbing wall, full basketball court, lot's of pools and hot tubs, and of course MY favorite of all... all you could eat fruit and ice cream! We had such a great time, we went to San Juan Puerto Rico, St.Thomas, and St.Martin. We tried to rent a scooter in the other islands, but everytime they were all rented or other problems, but we finally rented a scooter in St.Martin, aw it was such a beautiful island. It was so neat to ride around and see how the people live and their amazing homes. We stopped and swam in the Carribean, it was amazing! We of course didn't really buy anything because now we're POOR newly-weds! I would tell anyone to go on a cruise for their honeymoon though, it was PERFECT!
